Samsung inaugurated a 2.38 MWp rooftop solar power plant in Bac Ninh

The rooftop solar power project is being implemented in cooperation with CME Solar at the SEV factory with a capacity of 2.38 MWp, expected to produce clean electricity equivalent to 2.59 million kWh per year.

On July 31st in Bac Ninh , Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) officially inaugurated a rooftop solar power system at its SEV factory in the Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh.

The rooftop solar power project at the SEV plant has a capacity of 2.38 MWp, expected to produce the equivalent of 2.59 million kWh of clean electricity annually.

A Samsung representative stated: "After only 3 months of construction, the project has officially commenced operations. This is a significant start in supporting the Vietnamese government 's goal of achieving net-zero emissions, and also marks the beginning of Samsung Vietnam's Net Zero goal."

The rooftop solar power project at the SEV factory is also a significant milestone in the journey of realizing Samsung's sustainable development strategy, making it the largest FDI enterprise in Vietnam.

Mr. Kim Iee Soo, General Director of SEV, emphasized that the project is not only significant economically but also demonstrates Samsung's strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility in Vietnam, while creating a green future for future generations.

As a partner, CME Solar Investment directly handles the entire process from engineering design, legal support, construction to acceptance testing and system operation, ensuring compliance with SEV's stringent quality and safety standards.
