Ready for the pilot congress of the Vietnam Youth Union at the grassroots level.

The Youth Union of Yen Son commune (Tam Diep city) has been selected by the Vietnam Youth Union Committee of the province as the model unit to organize the grassroots-level Youth Union Congress for the 2024-2029 term.

Yen Son is a mountainous commune in Tam Diep city, with a fairly diverse population, comprising 15% Buddhists, 18% Catholics, and approximately 8% ethnic minorities.

In recent years, the Youth Union and Association activities in Yen Son commune have consistently achieved good results, becoming a "bright spot" in Tam Diep city with many exemplary young people excelling in business and outstanding Youth Union members being admitted to the Party.

Understanding the honor and responsibility of being selected to organize the pilot grassroots-level congress of the province, the Youth Union of Yen Son commune has seriously implemented the preparatory steps for organizing the congress for the 2024-2029 term.

Comrade Hoang Thi May, Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Youth Union Association of Yen Son commune, said: "Since December 2023, when we were selected as the pilot unit to organize the grassroots-level Congress for the 2024-2029 term, the Youth Union Association of Yen Son commune has promptly developed a plan for organizing the Congress, reporting to the higher-level Youth Union organization and the local Party committee and government for guidance and direction, creating unity in implementation."

Over the past month, we have been actively implementing the contents of the Congress organization plan, including: developing a system of documents with the term report, direction, tasks and personnel plan for the new term; a communication plan; the projected Congress program, venue, number of delegates, guests, etc.

Particular emphasis has been placed on developing a personnel plan for the new term, ensuring it aligns with the structure, composition, and age distribution, while promoting the pioneering spirit, unity, innovation, and creativity of the youth in Yen Son commune. To date, preparations have been completed, and everything is ready for the upcoming Congress on January 14, 2024.

Throughout the preparation process for the pilot congress, the Youth Union of Yen Son commune consistently received guidance and direction from higher-level Youth Union organizations, especially from the City Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of Tam Diep city.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union and Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Tam Diep City, said: The City Youth Union and the City Youth Union regularly exchange and keep abreast of daily information on the preparations for the pilot Congress of the Youth Union of Yen Son commune in order to promptly guide and supervise the preparation of all stages of the Congress.

In addition, we also directed the Women's Union branches in the communes and wards to strengthen propaganda about the pilot grassroots-level congress of the province in Yen Son commune; and to coordinate with the City's Department of Culture to conduct visual propaganda on electronic billboards.

The successful organization of the pilot congress of the Vietnam Youth Union at the grassroots level for the 2024-2029 term is not only of significant importance to Yen Son commune, Tam Diep city, but also serves as a basis for the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union to evaluate the preparation and organization of the congress at the local level. This will allow for the drawing of specific lessons learned so that other units can better prepare and organize their own congresses.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Hiep, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union Association of the province, stated: The goal of the Provincial Association is to complete the organization of the Vietnam Youth Union Congress at the grassroots level in April 2024, and to organize the district and provincial-level Congresses in 2024. Therefore, successfully directing the organization of the pilot grassroots-level Congress is of great importance and practical value in drawing lessons for directing and organizing implementation on a wider scale.

Besides developing specific plans and guidelines, the Provincial Youth Union directly worked with the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Youth Union of Yen Son commune to finalize preparations for organizing the pilot Congress; directly provided comprehensive feedback on the documents and preparation stages, and actively coordinated with the locality in resolving difficulties regarding the funding for organizing the Congress.

A new feature of this Congress is that the Provincial Youth Union directed the promotion of digital technology application in all stages of the Congress organization, from digitizing documents to the attendance check of delegates. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also supported the installation of a booth showcasing typical youth products on the Agriverse virtual agricultural product trading platform at the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union in Yen Son commune.

With thorough and proactive preparation from the provincial to the grassroots level, we are confident that the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Yen Son commune, term 2024-2029, will be a great success. This pilot congress will make an important contribution to helping Youth Union organizations throughout the province complete the organization of congresses at the grassroots and district levels, leading up to the 6th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029.
