The High Hoop Basketball Festival is a free event for children aged 8 to 13, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City (December 17th), Da Nang (January 7th, 2024), Vinh City (January 14th, 2024), and Hanoi (January 21st, 2024), with guest appearances from the Saigon Heat basketball club's star players. This is Vietnam's first professional basketball team and has won the VBA championship four times in a row.

Today at the Canadian International School (CIS) Gymnasium, 600 young athletes participated in the first leg of the competition in Ho Chi Minh City. Interacting with and guiding the children in basketball were the stars of the Saigon Heat club, including Nguyen Huynh Phu Vinh, Vo Kim Ban, Tim Waale, and others. After a group warm-up led by Saigon Heat head coach David John Grice, the children were divided into groups to play games and showcase their shooting skills.
The children enthusiastically participated in the High Hoop basketball festival.
The organizers also collaborated with basketball academies in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang , Vinh, and Hanoi, selecting 20 children from each locality to train and provide them with additional skills and tactics in competition, contributing to the development and nurturing of young talents to achieve their dreams.
