On April 20th, the Management Board of the Binh Dinh Provincial Economic Zone announced that the province had approved the investment plan for the Eo Gió eco-tourism project (Quy Nhon city), which includes a glass bridge.
The Eo Gió eco-tourism project is planned with integrated tourism services, a glass viewing bridge, viewing balconies, restaurants, and other supporting services.
The Eo Gió eco-tourism area is planned to cover more than 10 hectares with a total investment of nearly 80 billion VND.
The project implementation period is 48 months from the date of the decision recognizing the results of the land use rights auction or the decision approving the investor. Within this period, the completion of investment preparation procedures shall not exceed 12 months.
Reportedly, at the end of 2015, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province approved the implementation of the Eo Gió high-end eco-tourism resort project with a total investment of 1,600 billion VND.
Since 2017, FLC Group has been constructing various facilities such as an observation deck, a concrete road running along the rocky mountain slope down to the beach, an entrance gate, and has been selling tickets to visitors to explore Eo Gió, at a price of 25,000 VND per person.
In 2022, the Binh Dinh Provincial Economic Zone Management Board issued a document terminating the operation of the Eo Gió high-end eco-tourism resort project of FLC Group due to its failure to comply with the progress schedule registered with the investment management agency.
According to the leaders of Binh Dinh province, Eo Gió tourist area is an attractive destination for tourists, however, it has not received systematic investment in the past and still has shortcomings…
"The province has a new plan in place, which includes building a glass-bottomed bridge here for watching the sunrise. The Provincial People's Committee will put it up for auction to attract investors to continue investing in and developing this tourist area in a systematic way. This is one of the most beautiful and unique destinations in Binh Dinh," said Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee.
