Empowering women is a crucial lever for promoting gender equality and building an inclusive and comprehensive economy. The banking system is a vital link in this process, acting as both an employer and provider of capital and financial services. With a sustainable vision that puts people and communities first, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( SeABank , HOSE: SSB) is a pioneer in signing and implementing commitments to gender equality, focusing on empowering female employees and providing equal opportunities, and promoting inclusive finance for female individual and business customers.

SeABank places people at the center of its development and is a pioneer in promoting gender equality.

An equal and empowering work environment for women.

SeABank believes that diversity and equality in human resources are crucial foundations for fostering creativity and innovation. The bank implements equality in all aspects of its human resource operations, from recruitment and career development to compensation policies.

Accordingly, a non-discriminatory recruitment policy is implemented across the entire organization, ensuring no bias or discrimination based on any factor other than professional competence. The human resources, compensation, and performance evaluation system emphasizes transparency, is developed based on achievement and competence with consultation from Mercer - Talentnet, ensuring fair opportunities for recognition and career development.

Simultaneously, the Bank focuses on maximizing the capabilities and encouraging women's participation in management positions. By the end of 2024, SeABank achieved a gender balance across all management levels, with 48% female managers nationwide; of which 51% of top-level managers (level 1) and above are women. At the leadership level, SeABank's Board of Directors currently has 50% female members, ensuring a multi-faceted thinking system and effective governance.

SeABank focuses on developing capabilities and creating fair career development opportunities.

Understanding the disadvantages faced by women in the workplace, SeABank has established a flexible and balanced work environment with many supportive policies such as: marriage leave and maternity leave for both male and female employees; support policies for female employees during maternity leave (reduced working hours, provision of breastfeeding rooms, breast milk storage cabinets, etc.); welfare benefits for employees with young children, and programs to support/give gifts to employees' children on special occasions…

Furthermore, SeABank focuses on building an open, respectful, and cohesive corporate culture. Employee opinions are listened to through regular surveys, interactions on internal communication channels, and a transparent internal complaint/reporting mechanism. Regularly organized internal team-building programs and charitable activities also contribute to strengthening cohesion throughout the system, creating a foundation for a united, respectful, and equal workforce.

Partnering with female customers to develop inclusive economics .

To build a level playing field for businesses, promote financial inclusion, and foster inclusive economic development, SeABank has expanded its cooperation and mobilized international capital totaling nearly US$1.1 billion from IFC, DFC, AIIB, Norfund, FMO, Proparco, and other international financial funds. Thanks to this, SeABank has strengthened its financial and technical capabilities, as well as its international experience, to diversify and offer specialized, tailored products for female customers.

In October 2020, the SeAMobile digital banking app launched a personalization feature with an interface specifically designed for women. In addition, SeABank introduced the SeALady Cashback credit card for women, offering cashback of up to 2% of the transaction value, especially high on customers' birthdays, International Women's Day (March 8th), and Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20th)... Customers also enjoy many benefits in insurance, healthcare, and beauty when owning a SeALady card. Notably, for every transaction of VND 1 million or more using the card, SeABank will contribute VND 2,000 to the "Bright Tomorrow" Cancer Patient Support Fund.

SeABank offers specialized products that expand development opportunities for female customers.

To enhance women's economic empowerment, SeABank collaborates with the Vietnam Women's Union to implement the Women's Entrepreneurship Project for the period 2018-2025. Among its flagship products, the SeAWomen unsecured consumer loan stands out, offering a maximum loan limit of VND 100 million and a term of up to 48 months, with no early repayment fees and streamlined procedures/documentation. By the end of 2024, SeAWomen had attracted over 21,000 cumulative customers, with total outstanding loans reaching VND 1,087 billion, a 57% increase compared to the same period.

Simultaneously, the Bank has implemented many specialized products to support women-owned businesses in accessing large and flexible sources of capital, such as: unsecured overdrafts with limits up to VND 5 billion; unsecured Visa Corporate credit cards with limits up to VND 200 million; loan-to-value ratios (LTV) up to 100% for deposits and 95% for real estate… These are accompanied by preferential loan interest rates, waiver of early repayment fees for short-term loans, and priority service at all transaction points… helping women-owned businesses access finance promptly and conveniently.

In particular, SeABank has created a comprehensive financial and non-financial ecosystem through its exclusive SeAPower Club for female business owners. SeAPower members participate in numerous training activities, networking opportunities, support for digital transformation and sustainable development, and enjoy privileged access to healthcare and a balanced lifestyle. By the end of June 2025, the number of female business owners at SeABank had increased by 140% year-on-year, and total outstanding loans had grown by 115%.

The SeAPower Club organizes many networking and training events for female-owned businesses.

SeABank's efforts to promote gender equality have been effective and recognized by many domestic and international organizations: Vietnam ESG Awards (Dan Tri Newspaper), Sustainable Development Enterprise (VCCI), Best Workplace in Vietnam 2024 (VCCI, Anphabe), Best Workplace in Asia 2021-2023 (HR Asia), Most Innovative Bank for Women in Vietnam 2022 (Global Business), Sustainable Development category at VOBA 2025 and Strong Brand 2025… Notably, SeABank was honored to receive the prestigious UN WEPs Award 2024 (Principles for Empowering Women 2024) in the "Gender Equality in the Marketplace" category, selected by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). This is a recognition of SeABank's contributions to supporting women-owned businesses, in line with the bank's mission and purpose as a pioneer in signing commitments on gender equality.

Commitment to gender equality is a key pillar in SeABank's sustainable development strategy, fulfilling its role as a responsible bank. Adhering to its vision of "putting people and communities first," SeABank continuously creates sustainable value for its female employees and customers, thereby inspiring and expanding opportunities for advancement for the entire female community, contributing to building an equal society, a comprehensive financial ecosystem, and an inclusive economy.
