Shopee supports businesses and users to increase resilience

Businesses and consumers have steadily increased their resilience through technology by maximizing access opportunities via e-commerce, even as countries reopen and local communities continue to grapple with macroeconomic challenges.

According to the report “Shopee Partner: Building Resilience with Technology,” shoppers in Southeast Asia saved $1.7 billion on goods and necessities through monthly shopping campaigns organized by Shopee in collaboration with sellers and brands.

In Vietnam, Shopee continuously collaborates with brands and sellers to offer users more deals, helping them save more on their spending. Throughout the shopping campaigns from 9.9, 11.11 to 12.12 in 2022, users saved up to 350 billion VND when shopping on Shopee.

Shopee regularly provides training programs to support sellers through the Shopee Academy - Shopee Uni and the Shopee Captain program. Through these programs, sellers can receive various sources of support from the community to easily start, grow, and successfully conduct business on the Shopee online platform.

To enhance the skills of sellers, entrepreneurs, and talented individuals, Shopee also organizes many useful programs such as the Shopee Code League online programming competition, helping talented people gain a better position to succeed in the digital economy…

The rate of businesses and consumers accessing e-commerce has increased, with 85% of new users coming from areas outside the capital and major cities. Shopee has also supported sellers from 200 localities across the region to start their online business journey. In addition, community programs organized by Shopee and its partners throughout 2022 attracted 600,000 participants, demonstrating its efforts to expand support for local communities.
