Among the 25 disciplinary and interdisciplinary professorial councils, the two fields with the most candidates are Economics and Medicine. Specifically, Economics has 108 candidates (6 Professors and 102 Associate Professors); Medicine has 82 candidates (6 Professors and 76 Associate Professors).

According to the application for recognition of the title of Professor in 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Thi Dieu Thuong was born in 1980 and hails from Canh Tan commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province.
Ms. Dieu Thuong graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine, specializing in Traditional Medicine. In 2009, she was awarded a Master's degree in Medicine, specializing in Traditional Medicine, from the same university. In 2014, she received a Doctorate in the same field and specialization, also from the same university.
Ms. Dieu Thuong was recognized as an Associate Professor in 2018 in the field of Medicine and was reappointed to the title of Associate Professor in 2023, also in the field of Medicine.

Prof. Dr. Trinh Thi Dieu Thuong are acupuncture for motor rehabilitation after stroke; auricular acupuncture for treating common diseases; other forms of acupuncture for treating common diseases; diagnostic criteria for syndromes, clinical manifestations and physiological characteristics of acupuncture points; and the combination of traditional and modern medicine in the discovery and development of new drugs.
