On the morning of July 25, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi organized the launching ceremony of the "Green Summer" 2025 student volunteer campaign.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Secretary in charge of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi Nguyen Tien Hung said: The "Green Summer" 2025 student volunteer campaign is especially meaningful to the youth of the capital. The campaign aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism of members and students in participating in socio -economic development; building new rural areas, civilized urban areas; ensuring social security, national defense, security, especially in difficult areas, remote areas, border areas, and islands of the Fatherland.
Recalling the “Three Readies” movement of the Capital’s youth, the generations of students who put down their pens and joined the army to fight to protect the Fatherland, the Deputy Secretary in charge of the City Youth Union hopes that with their youthful energy and enthusiasm, the young people will clearly determine their mindset and noble ideals to devote themselves to carrying out meaningful and practical projects and tasks to serve the people and young people in the localities. In particular, the teams need to ensure absolute safety for volunteers.
“Take the skills and knowledge you have learned, promote your strengths as students, commit to new and difficult tasks, achieve the best results, as well as leave good feelings in the hearts of the people and spread the spirit of volunteerism, worthy of your youth,” comrade Nguyen Tien Hung advised.
At the launch ceremony, the teams demonstrated the determination, will, dedication and aspiration of the capital's youth to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, upholding the nation's fine tradition of "sharing love" and the spirit of "Hanoi with the whole country, for the whole country".
This year, the Campaign has many innovations, ensuring close coordination; 168 volunteer teams are deployed in provinces and cities, including 45 city-level teams volunteering in 6 key areas, including: Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Hai Phong.
The activities were organized with the active participation of union members, students, cadres, young lecturers from universities, colleges, academies, vocational colleges, and youth from various localities...
In particular, one of the key contents of this year's Campaign is to support the operation of the two-level local government model; at the same time, coordinate with local authorities in digitizing administrative records and data, and support the operation of electronic management platforms.
Through this, students not only contribute to improving the efficiency of grassroots government operations, but also play a bridging role in promoting digital transformation in residential communities, contributing to realizing a modern government model that is close to the people and serves the people better.
