This is an important step in the international integration process of the Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX), contributing to promoting and attracting foreign investment capital into the Vietnamese stock market.
Accordingly, VNX's subsidiaries, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange and the Hanoi Stock Exchange, will also receive similar benefits as official members.
Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX) said that at the 2023 Annual Conference of the World Federation of Stock Exchanges (WFE) taking place from September 19 to 21, 2023, the WFE General Assembly voted unanimously to admit VNX as an official member of WFE.
This is an important step in the integration process of VNX, contributing to promoting and attracting foreign investment capital into the Vietnamese stock market. VNX's subsidiaries, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) and the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), will also receive similar benefits as official members.
VNX's official membership of WFE is part of VNX's efforts to unify international cooperation focal points, helping foreign affairs to be consistent, effective, economical and widespread.
In 2022, the Vietnam Stock Exchange became a member of the Association of ASEAN Exchanges (ASEAN Exchanges), the ASEAN Bond Market Forum (ABMF) and the Asian and Oceanian Stock Exchanges Federation (AOSEF).
