Comparing the cast of the film and television versions of 'Southern Forest Land'.

The television series "Southern Land" has become a classic for Vietnamese audiences. Many of its characters have become iconic, such as the role of Uncle Ba Phi, played by artist Mac Can (right).
In 2023, director Quang Dung decided to make a film adaptation of the movie, titled "Southern Forest Land". The role of Uncle Ba Phi in the film was given to Tran Thanh. This sparked curiosity and debate among many because Tran Thanh was considered too young to play the role. However, director Quang Dung still believed in Tran Thanh's acting abilities.
