Reporting at the conference, Comrade Lam Huu Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated: The Party Committee of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has 9 branches with 142 party members. The Party Committee Executive Board has 13 members; the Standing Committee has 3 members; and the Inspection Committee has 5 members. The grassroots trade union has 252 union members. The Youth Union has 61 members.

In the first six months of 2025, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism closely followed the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Party Committee of the Bloc, leading and directing the Party Committee to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Accordingly, coordinated efforts were made to organize an art program to welcome the New Year with the theme " Tra Vinh Shines Brightly in the Spring Seasons" and an artistic fireworks display that attracted over 60,000 viewers; a ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh, the 65th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Tra Vinh and Thai Binh, and celebrating Tra Vinh province's completion of the New Rural Development program…

Coordinated the organization of the ceremony to announce the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ca Hom mat-making in Ham Tan commune, Tra Cu district, and completed the dossiers for inclusion in the Provincial and National Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists. Coordinated with the People's Committee of Cau Ke district to organize the ceremony to announce the Decision and receive the certificate ranking Phi Rum Soc Pagoda in Cau Ke district as a historical relic. To date, the province has 58 ranked relics, including 16 national-level relics and 42 provincial-level relics. Installed 14 signposts to relics in districts and towns. The historical sites welcomed approximately 116,000 visitors.

Comrade Trinh Thanh Dat, Secretary of the Party Branch and Director of the Sports Training and Competition Center, delivered a speech contributing his opinions at the conference.

In the field of sports, 7 athletes were sent to national and youth national teams; 1 national sports competition was hosted. Teams participated in 5 out of 37 competitions in the national system.and won 29 out of 165 medals of all types (achieving 17.6% of the plan). In coordination with the Provincial Youth Union, a cross-country and walking race was organized in response to the 2025 Olympic Day for Public Health, with 8 units and approximately 2,000 participants; the Aikya Cross Country Marathon Tra Vinh 2025, with 4 competition distances, attracted approximately 4,200 athletes...

In the tourism sector, 3 tourist accommodation establishments and 5 businesses meeting standards for serving tourists have been assessed and recognized. This brings the total number of tourist accommodation establishments in the province to 138; 1 commercial center and 33 restaurants combining food and beverage services with the sale of local specialties, souvenirs, and entertainment venues that meet standards for serving tourists.

Furthermore, Party building work has been given due attention and effectively implemented; propaganda, ideological education, and the dissemination and thorough understanding of Party resolutions and directives have been given due attention. The ideological situation of cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers remains stable, positive, and always proactive in carrying out assigned tasks…

Comrade Duong Hoang Sum, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delivered the concluding remarks at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Duong Hoang Sum, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, requested that subordinate Party branches continue to propagate, disseminate, and implement the Party's guidelines, State policies and laws, and directives from the Central and provincial authorities on combating corruption and waste. He also urged them to effectively implement the plans of the higher-level Party Committee, maintain Party branch activities, educate Party members to strictly adhere to the Party Charter and the rules prohibiting certain actions, direct Party branch committees to focus on Party building, training and improving the skills of cadres and Party members, and pay attention to cultivating outstanding Youth Union members for consideration by the Party committee for membership.

At the same time, effectively implement the Party Committee's and the Inspection Committee's inspection and supervision program for 2025; direct grassroots Youth Union branches to perform their duties well according to their functions and responsibilities; pay attention to leading and promptly grasping the thoughts of Party members in each Party branch, agency, and unit. Continue to complete the consolidation and stabilization of the Party Committee's organizational structure after the merger, creating favorable conditions for Party members, officials, and employees of the Party Committee to perform and complete the assigned tasks of the Party Committee well…

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the transfer decisions to 5 civil servants.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the Decision on retirement with social insurance benefits in accordance with Government Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP for 9 colleagues. In addition, it announced Decision No. 368/QD-SNV of the Department of Internal Affairs regarding the transfer of 5 inspectors from the Tra Vinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to work at the Provincial Inspectorate from July 1, 2025.
