On the afternoon of June 1, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet, Head of the Art Department, Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, informed about the Miss and Mister Universe World International 2023 contest taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Kiet said that this contest has not yet completed the procedures to request approval to be held in Ho Chi Minh City. The Department Inspectorate is coordinating with specialized departments and relevant agencies and units to inspect and handle according to regulations.
Mr. Kiet added that the management agency has many difficulties in dealing with competitions whose organizers do not carry out procedures to get approval from competent authorities. Violating units always find ways to avoid and deal with competent authorities before, during and after the competition. Therefore, the Department must coordinate with related units such as the City Police, local police and the Department of Culture and Information of districts to handle the matter.
" The Department will continue to inform after having specific results," Mr. Kiet added.
