A lively competition to learn about the history of the Party Committee and cultural traditions of Quang Nam province.

Extensive political campaign

The online contest "Learning about the historical and cultural traditions of Quang Nam; the history of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee" is one of the activities commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the homeland (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025). This is also an opportunity for cadres, Party members, the people, the armed forces, especially the youth of Quang Nam, to rekindle their pride in the revolutionary traditions of their homeland.

The competition aims to honor the great achievements that the Party Committee, military, and people of Quang Nam have attained over the past 95 years under the leadership of the Party, especially the achievements after 50 years of liberation of the homeland. From there, it contributes to raising awareness, affirming faith in the Party's leadership, and inspiring patriotism, the will to overcome difficulties, and the aspiration for progress among all strata of the people.

This is also an opportunity for the entire Party, army, and people to firmly consolidate the Party's ideological foundation, combat the false narratives of hostile forces, and create momentum to lead Quang Nam, along with the rest of the country, into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

With that in mind, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department (now the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) - the Standing Committee of the competition's organizing committee - focused on disseminating and publishing relevant content on the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee's electronic information portal and through the press to attract the participation of all segments of the population.

After more than a month of implementation, the competition went through 4 weekly rounds with the active participation of units and localities such as Dien Ban, Dai Loc, Que Son, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Information and Communications (before merging to form the Department of Science and Technology), the Provincial Youth Union, etc.

Mr. Hoang Van Thanh, acting Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and a member of the competition's organizing committee, said that the youth of Quang Nam responded to the competition to celebrate major events of the province, contributing to enhancing historical and cultural knowledge and spreading patriotic spirit.

Accordingly, the Provincial Youth Union directed all levels of the Youth Union to intensify propaganda on online platforms. The Provincial Youth Union's Propaganda Department also designed visual propaganda materials and sent them to grassroots Youth Union branches for synchronized implementation. The Provincial Youth Union also directed units to organize simultaneous competitions and joint competitions for Youth Union members and young people, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the province.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, a specialist from the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Dai Loc District Party Committee, shared the unit's approach: "Every week, after the provincial-level competition organizing committee announces the questions, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the District Party Committee collects news and articles related to the content of each question and posts them on the Truong An Facebook page, which are then shared on the Facebook pages of various agencies and units."

Through this, cadres and Party members read and research more about the event, and at the same time choose the most accurate answer. Over 4 weekly competitions, Dai Loc was the unit with the second highest number of registered accounts, after Dien Ban, with 28,394 participating accounts, and was also one of the localities with the most prizes, with 8 prizes of various types.”

Huynh Ngoc Hue High School (Dai Loc) was also one of the schools actively participating in the competition. “After completing the test, each student reports to their homeroom teacher to compile the number of participants and select the 3 students who answered correctly and fastest to send to the Head of the Student Union. Every week, the school will select 3 students and 1 group with the best performance to commend and reward in front of the flag,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, the school's Vice Principal. It is known that over the 4 weekly competitions, Huynh Ngoc Hue High School has had 1 teacher and 1 student receive the consolation prize.

At the end of the competition (with 4 rounds), a total of 232,772 accounts registered to participate, averaging over 58,000 accounts registered per week. Many localities had a high number of participating accounts across all 4 rounds, such as: Dien Ban town (43,325 accounts in total across 4 rounds), Dai Loc district (28,394), Duy Xuyen (22,170), Tien Phuoc (18,224), Que Son (17,752), etc.

The competition organizers held a meeting to award certificates to 44 individual winners, including 4 first prizes; 8 second prizes; 12 third prizes; and 20 consolation prizes. They also presented certificates of merit to 11 collectives for their achievements in promoting and encouraging the highest number of participants and for winning the most individual prizes across the four competitions.

The organizers announced that the closing ceremony and awards presentation will be held on the opening day of the Exhibition showcasing socio-economic achievements, national defense and security, and introducing characteristic products and OCOP products, which will take place on the morning of March 21st at the Quang Nam Provincial Cultural Center, 8 Tran Hung Dao Street, Tam Ky City.
