Specifically, the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values have received attention, including the completion of dossiers and reports submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, requesting the Government to allow the submission of the Cheo art form to UNESCO for inclusion in the list of representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The work of building cultural life at the grassroots level continues to develop, the movement of all people uniting to build a cultured life and family work is implemented in an orderly and effective manner, and the model of cultural and sports facilities in villages and residential areas in the province is supported to improve the effectiveness of its activities.

Public arts activities, libraries, exhibitions, and film screenings have effectively served political objectives and the people at the grassroots level. Mass sports activities have been vibrant, with many provincial-level sports competitions successfully organized. High-performance sports continue to be maintained and strengthened.

Tourism activities have made many new strides, including the organization of numerous promotional and marketing activities to introduce tourism products; and the strengthening of state management of tourism activities at the local level...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem affirmed that the results achieved in the first five months of 2024 show that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has seriously implemented the program contents and directives of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee according to the plan.

Regarding the key tasks for the remaining months of 2024, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: In the field of tourism, it is necessary to finalize the draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on developing tourism into an important economic sector of the province. This includes researching and supplementing solutions in the areas of land, infrastructure, human resources, investment attraction, etc., and completing it no later than June 20th so that the Provincial People's Committee can consider submitting it to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the cultural sector, it is necessary to improve the management efficiency of spiritual and historical sites, especially those of national significance. The management of cultural institutions should be decentralized to ensure strict and consistent control. Specialized units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should research and issue regulations for managing festivals at the district and provincial levels. For the system of grassroots cultural institutions, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should promptly conduct surveys and reassessments to improve the effectiveness of cultural centers in villages, residential areas, communes, wards, and towns throughout the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to provide a detailed report on the next steps in submitting the Cheo Art dossier to UNESCO; and to build a scientific dossier honoring the cultural figure Le Quy Don so that the Provincial People's Committee can coordinate with relevant departments and localities to ensure timely progress…

For high-performance sports, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to study policy mechanisms to attract sports talent, select a number of strong high-performance sports, develop long-term training plans, and ensure a roadmap and financial conditions to retain and nurture talented athletes…

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed confidence that with unity and strong determination, the culture, sports, and tourism sector will soon complete the key tasks set forth by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee.
