At the end of June, Ho Chi Minh City will be the venue for two large-scale taekwondo tournaments, contributing to forming the core force for the national team, preparing for the 33rd SEA Games at the end of 2025 in Thailand.
On June 19, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation (VTF) officially announced the organization of the National Youth Taekwondo Championship - CJ 2025 (from June 21 to 25) and the CJ Vietnam Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025 (from June 27 to 28), both taking place at Go Vap Stadium. At the same time, VTF also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CJ Vietnam Group to enhance the expertise and scale of the organization.
In particular, the CJ 2025 International Tournament is the first G1 event in Vietnam , ranked by the World Taekwondo Federation, and is of great significance in the journey to qualify for the Olympics.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy - Vice President and General Secretary of VTF, the two tournaments are an opportunity to select elite athletes and build a team representing Vietnam to compete at the 33rd SEA Games.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, VTF President Truong Ngoc De emphasized: "These events not only demonstrate the strong vitality of Vietnamese taekwondo but also symbolize the spirit of international integration, connecting martial arts and culture between Vietnam and Korea through sports ."
The 2025 CJ Youth Championship brings together athletes from across the country, competing in 4 age groups: under 12, 12-14, 15-17 and 18-20.
The events include individual and team combat, standard boxing techniques, creativity and performance. The tournament will apply high technology such as electronic armor and video replay to enhance fairness and professionalism.
