The Thai government has sent someone to monitor the media activities of the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee.
According to the famous Thai sports newspaper Siamsport , the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has faced a wave of fierce criticism from fans in this country after posting a poster advertising the "33rd SEA Games Virtual Run". Siamsport described that the SEA Games Organizing Committee used AI technology to design the poster, making the image lack vitality and even having many spelling mistakes.
“A major event like the 33rd SEA Games still uses AI-generated images. More regrettably, some errors have been discovered such as fonts and graphic elements, and spacing are not synchronized. Many people are now questioning the working process of the Organizing Committee and calling on these people to quickly change everything and improve work performance,” Siamsport expressed.

Many Thai fans criticized because they thought that the SEA Games 33 Organizing Committee used AI to design the images.

In just a few days, the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has been criticized for making serious mistakes in posting information. Previously, on December 2, on the SEA Games 33 propaganda page, in the futsal match schedule section, the image of the Indonesia vs. Thailand match at 6:30 p.m. at Chonburi Stadium also caused great outrage when the Vietnamese national flag was mistakenly assigned to the Thai team, while the Indonesian flag was replaced by the Lao flag. Although the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has removed this serious error, there has been no action to explain the reason for the error. The host side has also not apologized as they apologized for the sound problem in the match between U.23 Vietnam and U.23 Laos, which took place at Rajamangala Stadium (December 3).
According to Thairath , the Thai Government is aware of the incident and has sent someone to monitor the communication activities of the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee.
Thai newspaper commented: “When asked about the use of AI that caused the 33rd SEA Games information to be distorted, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat Prompao, had begun the process of monitoring everything. Mr. Thammanat Prompao declared that Thai authorities will strictly handle the cases of distortion and not let any incidents happen again.”
