Tam Dao is ready for the Tay Thien Festival 2025.

(CLO) To prepare for the Tay Thien Festival 2025, which will take place on March 14th, Tam Dao has mobilized hundreds of people to participate in various cultural, sports , and tourism activities.

Taking place from March 14th to 16th (corresponding to the 15th to 17th of the second lunar month), the Tay Thien Festival is the longest and most important event in Tam Dao district as well as Vinh Phuc province.

The Tay Thien Festival is held to commemorate and express gratitude for the merits of Queen Mother Lang Thi Tieu, the principal consort of Hung Chieu Vuong VII, who made great contributions to helping King Hung expand the territory, teach the people to cultivate wet rice, recruit soldiers, and consolidate the dynasty.

To prepare for this year's Tay Thien Festival, Tam Dao mobilized hundreds of people to participate in the ceremonial part (including the announcement ceremony, the palanquin procession, the incense offering ceremony, and the thanksgiving ceremony). The festival part featured many cultural, sports, and tourism activities.

To date, Tam Dao district and related units have basically completed preparations for the festival, ensuring that the festival takes place according to rituals, safely, and evokes the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source."

It is expected that on the 13th day of the 2nd lunar month, Tam Dao district will conduct a dress rehearsal for the Tay Thien Spring Festival 2025 (Year of the Snake).

Mr. Do Quoc Trong, Head of the Tay Thien Scenic Area Management Board, said that the special attraction for tourists at the Tay Thien Festival is the unique blend of Mother Goddess worship and Buddhist culture. The main festival day will feature several rituals such as the procession of the National Mother Goddess palanquin, incense offering ceremony, Mother Goddess worship ceremony, along with cultural, sports, and traditional art activities...

To best meet the needs of visitors from all over who come to visit and worship during the festival days, Tam Dao district and the Management Board of Tay Thien Scenic Area have focused on investing in infrastructure in the Tay Thien Scenic Area, such as: decorating with flags, flowers, signs, billboards, posters... along Provincial Road 302, the road leading to the festival center, and spiritual sites; upgrading the lighting system and greenery; replacing directional signs, warning signs, signs prohibiting street vending, regulations, and festival program announcements...

In addition, Tam Dao district, the Tay Thien Scenic Area Management Board, and Dai Dinh town have also paid attention to ensuring security and order, preventing fires and explosions, and maintaining environmental hygiene in the Tay Thien scenic area; publicly and transparently displaying parking fees and licensing parking lots in accordance with regulations; and arranging sales areas and publicly posting service prices for tourists.

To ensure smooth transportation for tourists, the electric tram and cable car systems are thoroughly inspected and regularly maintained by Lac Hong Investment Joint Stock Company, guaranteeing safe and attentive service. The prices for electric trams and cable cars are publicly displayed at the company's information and ticket counters.

To help the tourism industry grow at the beginning of the new year, the People's Committee of Tam Dao district will organize many spring celebration activities in the festival area, with a highlight being the unique cultural performances of ethnic minorities, spreading the belief in the worship of the Mother Goddess.

In addition, the district will direct specialized departments to strengthen the promotion of the Tay Thien Festival on information websites and social media, and to link with tourism companies so that more tourists know about the Tay Thien scenic area, in preparation for the 2025 festival season.

In 2024, Vinh Phuc's tourism sector is estimated to welcome 10.6 million visitors, a 14% increase compared to 2023 and achieving 100% of the annual plan. Of these, international visitors are estimated at 90,000, and domestic visitors at 10.5 million.

Total tourism revenue is estimated at 4,000 billion VND, an increase of 10.8% compared to the same period last year and reaching 100% of the annual plan.

Tay Thien Pagoda is located in Dai Dinh commune, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province. Situated approximately 85km northwest of Hanoi, it is a very sacred and famous spiritual site. Tay Thien Pagoda in Tam Dao includes several large spiritual sites with unique architecture, such as the Tay Thien National Mother Temple, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, and the Mandala Great Stupa. Besides these spiritual sites, Tay Thien in Tam Dao also boasts a very picturesque natural landscape. Surrounded by the Tam Dao mountains and forests, visitors will feel very comfortable and peaceful in the realm of Buddhist teachings.
