On December 19, Ms. Trinh Thi Dung, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Cau Giay District, Hanoi confirmed that the Cau Giay District Police had summoned and temporarily detained Nguyen Thi L. (57 years old, from Tuyen Quang) to investigate the act of abusing a 1-month-old boy that has caused a stir in public opinion in the past few days.

Previously, a clip appeared on social media recording the image of a baby over 1 month old being physically impacted by the nanny many times.

According to the clip, the woman used her hands to punch the baby, sometimes shaking it violently… despite the baby crying weakly.

There were even times when the baby's mother slept right next to the bed, but the nanny still acted suspiciously like she was abusing the baby.

It is known that the above incident happened in Nghia Do ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi. The victim of suspected abuse is a 1.5 month old boy.

According to Ms. HY (35 years old, the boy's mother), her son was abused for many days and she lay next to him without knowing. It was only when her mother's intuition told her to review the family camera that she discovered the incident and was extremely shocked and hurt to know that her son was abused by the nanny. After extracting the camera, the family reported the incident to Nghia Do Ward Police.

Ms. Y. said that she found this nanny on a group that hires domestic helpers. A woman who introduced herself as Nguyen Thi L. (57 years old, from Tuyen Quang ) proactively called Ms. Y to express her interest in babysitting for hire. After discussing, she and her husband decided to hire Ms. L. to take care of their child with a salary of 8 million/month.

From November 5, Ms. L started working at her house. During work, she was always friendly, affectionate, often boasted about her children and grandchildren, and loved children very much.

Ms. Y. said that after her child was abused, she took him to the National Children's Hospital for examination and the doctors diagnosed him with concussion syndrome.

The case is being further investigated by Cau Giay District Police.
