At the same time, we have also increased patrols and mobile and fixed controls to promptly detect and strictly handle cases of driving while under the influence of alcohol, encroaching on lanes, speeding, reckless overtaking, etc.
Unlike every year, on the occasion of April 30 - May 1 this year, the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police not only deployed tasks on national highways and provincial roads, but also coordinated with local police to deploy forces to remote villages, hamlets, and ethnic minority areas to propagate and mobilize people to strictly comply with the provisions of the law when participating in traffic, and at the same time resolutely handle violations to deter and educate.
Colonel Pham Gia Chien, Head of the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, said: In recent times, there have been many traffic accidents in rural areas in the province, especially at intersections between rural roads and national highways and provincial roads. Therefore, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, we request the police of districts, towns and cities to simultaneously mobilize and establish working groups in communes, wards and towns to carry out tasks to ensure traffic order and safety.
In order to better serve the people's travel needs, contribute to reducing traffic congestion and ensuring smooth traffic on key routes, the Department of Transport Inspectorate has developed a Plan to ensure traffic order and safety to serve the people's travel needs during the April 30 - May 1 holidays and the time of the high school graduation exam and the peak summer tourism season in 2024.

On April 26, at Lao Cai Central Bus Station, traffic inspectors directly inspected passenger transport business conditions such as cameras, journey monitoring equipment, vehicle registration, badges, fire prevention and fighting equipment, etc. In particular, the traffic inspectors and the Department of Transport will coordinate with relevant agencies and units to effectively carry out traffic flow, ensuring urban order and civilization in the province; inspect, control and manage bus stations and parking lots to ensure smooth passenger and cargo transport, reduce congestion and accidents; ensure traffic safety in key areas, traffic hubs such as train stations, bus stations, border gates, etc. In particular, drivers and vehicle owners must not compete for passengers, carry more people than prescribed, or arbitrarily raise ticket prices, etc.
Although the authorities have implemented many measures, to ensure traffic order and safety, especially during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the cooperation of the people and tourists from all over the world is needed. It is necessary to strictly comply with the law when participating in traffic to avoid unfortunate consequences that may occur.
