In Gia Lai province, the De Heus - Hung Nhon Joint Venture is investing in the construction of the DHN Gia Lai High-Tech Livestock Farm Project in Ia Le commune with an investment scale of about 1,000 billion VND, built according to European technology standards.
The project started construction in May 2024 and phase 1 was put into operation in January 2025. Phase 2 has reached 90% of the volume, and is expected to complete and operate the entire project in the first quarter of 2026; expected to provide the locality and the Central Highlands region with about 24,000 high-quality breeds each year.
In addition, to create resources for the development of disease-free raw material areas to support livestock farming in the locality and the Central Highlands region, since 2015, De Heus has put into operation the De Heus Factory in An Nhon Industrial Park (Gia Lai province) with a capacity of 150,000 - 200,000 tons/year. It is expected that the factory will expand and invest in new projects to meet the production needs of the livestock industry and at the same time support the consumption of products of local farmers.
At the working session, representatives of De Heus Group and Hung Nhon identified Gia Lai as a key area in the strategy of developing high-tech agricultural value chains in the Central Highlands - Central region, aiming to form a disease-safe raw material area and deploy a production model that meets international standards.
Mr. Johan Van Den Ban, General Director of De Heus Group Vietnam and Asia, said that the development strategy for the period 2025-2030 of De Heus and Hung Nhon in Gia Lai focuses on key projects in the field of animal husbandry, processing and exporting animal products according to a closed value chain, applying high technology and ensuring disease safety.
Mr. Johan Van Den Ban believes that controlling pesticide residues and mycotoxins in animal feed, along with strict breeding selection processes according to international standards, will contribute to creating a source of breeds with good resistance, meeting the requirements of demanding export markets, including the Halal market.

Meanwhile, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, emphasized that building a chain from production to processing is also to meet global consumption trends, when the rate of processed meat products exported from Vietnam is increasing.
“Along with Gia Lai province, De Heus - Hung Nhon Joint Venture has also invested and operated projects in Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces, gradually forming a high-tech agricultural complex system in the Central Highlands,” informed the Chairman of Hung Nhon Group.
Proposed series of projects
According to the plan, the two corporations will expand the scale of the project in Gia Lai to 2,800 billion VND, becoming the agricultural project with the largest investment scale in the Central Highlands region, meeting international standards and export standards to the EU, Japan, Korea, and the Middle East.
In particular, the De Heus - Hung Nhon Joint Venture requested the province to support policies and procedures to quickly develop large-scale corn material areas in a model linked with local agricultural cooperatives. This helps ensure a stable supply, traceability and create sustainable livelihoods for farmers.

According to the assessment of the two corporations, Gia Lai province has great potential in terms of land for corn cultivation. Currently, the two corporations are purchasing about 100,000 tons/year from 23 million to about 38 million USD (equivalent to 600 billion VND to about 1,000 billion VND).
Along with that, to directly serve and optimize costs for the DHN Gia Lai Farm Project, and at the same time provide high-quality animal feed for associated farms in the region and for export, the De Heus - Hung Nhon Joint Venture plans to invest in building an animal feed factory in Gia Lai province.
Therefore, the consortium proposed that the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee consider arranging and approving for the group to lease about 5 hectares of land located in the industrial park with a total investment of about 30 million USD (about 800 billion VND) in a location with convenient traffic and logistics infrastructure (near major roads or industrial parks) so that the enterprise can deploy investment in building the factory as soon as possible.
In addition, in order to diversify high-tech livestock products in Gia Lai province and the Central Highlands to optimize the business ecosystem in the chain linked with De Heus, Hung Nhon Group also plans to invest in additional projects for breeding chicken and pig farms.
Hung Nhon Group proposed that the province introduce a land fund of about 25 hectares to 50 hectares with a total investment of 30 million to 38 million USD (from 800 billion VND to about 1,000 billion VND) in a suitable area for the group to prepare documents and investment procedures for the High-tech Chicken and Pig Breeding Farm Project.
In response to the proposal of the two corporations, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that Gia Lai province supports the high-tech, large-scale livestock farming model, synchronously implemented from breeding animals to meat products like some projects the corporation has implemented.
The Chairman of Gia Lai province suggested that the two corporations study and consider implementing large-scale projects in areas with favorable conditions and large land funds, in line with the development orientation of concentrated livestock farming areas of the province, such as the An Khe pass foot area, which is very suitable for planning concentrated livestock farms.
Regarding processing factories, Mr. Tuan suggested that businesses research and invest in large-scale processing factories, linked to raw material areas and meeting market demand, especially the export market.
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also asked businesses to work directly with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to soon propose specific projects on livestock breeding, raw material areas and processing; at the same time, he emphasized that the scale of the project must be commensurate with the potential.
With a long-term strategy and a distinct vision, De Heus Vietnam has been proactively cooperating with Hung Nhon Group (strategic partner in Vietnam) in developing high-tech agricultural value chains and disease-free zones in the Central Highlands and Southeast regions to produce high-quality agricultural products in a closed chain.
Currently, De Heus is also one of the world's leading animal feed manufacturing corporations and is consolidating its leading position in Vietnam through mergers and acquisitions with 14 factories of MASAN Group and the acquisition of the animal feed division of CJ Feed & Care Group (on October 1, 2025, in Hanoi, De Heus Group signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of CJ Feed & Care Group. Accordingly, De Heus will take over all business operations of CJ Feed & Care in Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Cambodia and the Philippines) thereby owning many factories nationwide.
