In addition to the issues of preventing and combating biodiversity crimes, the issue of preventing and combating African Swine Fever is currently very complicated nationwide. African Swine Fever is a very dangerous infectious disease caused by a virus. The African Swine Fever virus only infects and causes disease in pigs (sows, boars, pigs and piglets), including wild boars. The disease can spread very quickly and widely, due to contact between healthy animals and animals, animal products, food, drinking water, waste, tools, means of transport, insects, etc. carrying the pathogen.
According to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, since the beginning of the year, the country has had over 660 outbreaks of African Swine Fever in 44 provinces and cities, forcing the destruction of over 42,400 pigs, especially in the provinces of Bac Kan, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Son La, Quang Nam and Long An... causing losses to farmers. The disease is currently on the rise, with a high risk of widespread spread, which could affect food supplies, consumer price indexes and the environment.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Ha - officer of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control, Ministry of Public Security presented the topic of Propaganda on preventing and combating biodiversity crimes.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Hoang Minh Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Information, Ministry of Information and Communications, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, said that although mass media, the Internet, and social networks are currently developing strongly, grassroots information is still one of the indispensable channels of information and propaganda, with many advantages at the grassroots level, still providing a large amount of practical information to people at the grassroots level every day and every hour.
