Training on environmental protection and climate change response for religious groups.

On December 10th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee organized a training conference on disseminating legal education and enhancing capacity and knowledge on environmental protection and climate change adaptation for religious organizations in the southeastern provinces and some neighboring provinces.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Mr. Vu Dang Minh, Head of the Religious Affairs Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, emphasized that environmental protection and climate change adaptation have become issues not only for individual countries but also global challenges, profoundly impacting the lives of all families and nations.

The provinces in the southeastern region of Vietnam have been and are facing flooding, subsidence, erosion, and saltwater intrusion, leading to a reduction in agricultural land area. Climate change is also having a serious impact on the ecosystem and biodiversity in the region.
