A unique journey on the heritage train.
More than just a means of transportation, the "Connecting Central Vietnam Heritage" train offers an emotionally enriching journey between the cities of Hue and Da Nang . Over approximately three hours, passengers will be able to admire the spectacular scenery of Central Vietnam, especially as the train passes through Hai Van Pass – known as the "most magnificent pass in the world".

The journey, spanning over 100 km, winds along the mountainside, with towering cliffs on one side and the vast ocean on the other. From the train windows, Lang Co Bay unfolds in serene beauty, one of the most beautiful bays in the world . With morning and afternoon departures, passengers have the opportunity to witness sunrise or sunset over the bay, creating unforgettable moments.
Experience the culture and amenities right on board.
Specifically designed for tourism, the HD1/2 and HD3/4 trains offer comfortable and culturally rich experiences. The sightseeing carriages feature large windows allowing passengers to take in the breathtaking natural scenery. Additionally, the trains offer food, free Wi-Fi, and other convenient services.

A special highlight of the journey is the artistic performances, such as Hue folk songs, which help tourists learn more about the culture of the ancient capital right on the trip. The combination of natural landscapes and cultural experiences has made this train route an attractive tourism product, connecting three famous heritage centers: Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An.
Schedule and important notes
The Hue - Da Nang train route has two pairs of trains operating daily, numbered HD1/2 and HD3/4, departing in the morning and afternoon from both cities. This allows travelers flexibility in choosing their travel time, enabling them to travel to and from the destination on the same day or combine it with a longer sightseeing itinerary.
An important note is that train schedules may change or be suspended for safety reasons in bad weather conditions such as heavy rain and storms. Recently, trains had to suspend operations for two days, October 23-24, due to the impact of Typhoon Fengshen. Therefore, passengers should check information from Vietnam Railways Corporation before traveling, especially during the rainy season in Central Vietnam.
