According to the review results, in 2025, Tay Ninh province will have 3,027 poor households, accounting for 0.37% of the population. The province aims to reduce the number of poor households by 409 this year, striving to bring the poverty rate down to approximately 0.32% by the end of the year. However, the disbursement of funds for the program remains slow.
As of early August 2025, the total disbursed funds only reached approximately 334.7 million VND, equivalent to 0.42% of the central government budget allocation. The main reason for this delay stems from adjustments to the capital plan and the completion of procedures following the merger of the two levels of local government, which have significantly impacted the implementation progress.
Given this reality, the province has determined that more decisive and comprehensive solutions are needed to achieve the poverty reduction goals for the 2026-2030 period. The central objective is to reduce multidimensional poverty, limit the recurrence of poverty, improve the quality of life for the people, and strive to eliminate all poor households according to the central government's standards by 2030. To achieve this goal, the estimated capital requirement for the 2026-2030 period is over 264.2 billion VND.

To achieve the goal of eliminating poverty by 2030 and improving the quality of new rural areas, the province is accelerating the disbursement of funds, simplifying administrative procedures; reviewing and adjusting the set of criteria for new rural areas, strengthening training for commune officials; upgrading rural transportation, schools, and health infrastructure; supporting the development of cooperatives, value chain linkages, application of science and technology, and digital transformation; implementing preferential credit policies, supporting poor households unable to work through specific policies; promoting propaganda and emulation movements for the poor, fostering a spirit of self-reliance and avoiding dependence.
With the decisive involvement of the entire political system, the support of businesses and the social community, and the efforts of the people, Tay Ninh is determined to achieve the goal of eliminating poverty by 2030, contributing to building a more developed and sustainable province.
