
Specifically, six community communication teams were established in three communes: Hop Thanh, Ta Phoi, and Thong Nhat, with 60 members participating; 15 sessions were organized to disseminate information and educate on child care and protection, food safety and hygiene, and prevention of summer diseases, attracting nearly 1,000 participants; the "Community Trusted Address" model was maintained to support the protection of women and children who are victims of domestic violence; eight sessions were conducted to disseminate information on the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, and the Law on Child Care and Education, with 1,859 members and women attending; and 10 piglets were provided to 10 households in Nam Ria village, Hop Thanh commune, to develop their family economy .

In addition, the organization held two sessions to disseminate information, mobilize support, and guide members and women to participate in community activities, such as: community meetings, meetings with elected representatives, and contributing opinions to the development of the political system.

To continue effectively implementing the contents and targets of Project 8 in 2024, women's associations at all levels in Lao Cai city will focus on strengthening communication activities, advocating for changes in mindset and practices, and eliminating gender stereotypes and prejudices in families and communities; organizing competitions to learn about the Law on Gender Equality and the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence among community communication groups; conducting policy dialogues in particularly difficult villages and hamlets, selecting appropriate and practical dialogue content that addresses the pressing issues and difficulties faced by women; and organizing communication campaigns to eliminate gender stereotypes and prejudices, aiming to build a safe living environment for women and children in ethnic minority areas.
