According to the leader of the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province, due to the deterioration of the roadbed and surface, which is not safe, the unit has issued a notice to divert traffic on Van Phu bridge for inspection, maintenance and repair.


On the evening of October 31, Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province, said that the unit had just issued an official dispatch announcing the traffic diversion plan for Van Phu bridge located on Au Co street, Yen Bai city.

Van Phu Bridge closed to traffic from 0:00 on November 1 for repairs.

Specifically, traffic diversion will be from 0:00 on November 1, 2024 to December 29, 2024 to serve the construction and repair of Van Phu Bridge. During the time the units are constructing the bridge, people and vehicles will be prohibited from moving across the bridge to serve the repair of the roadbed and road surface items and to conduct inspection and maintenance of bridge piers affected by floods.

Traffic diversion plan: Vehicles and people go to the intersection of Van Phu bridge (intersection with traffic lights) and enter Yen Bai - Van Tien road. At the intersection with the three-bridge road, turn left and enter the three-bridge road. At the intersection of Gioi Phien bridge, turn left and cross Gioi Phien bridge. Go to National Highway 32C or the road connecting National Highway 32C with Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway to Au Co road (and vice versa).

Van Phu Bridge, Yen Bai City has a total length of 474.96m; total width of 10m; vehicle load capacity: H30-XB80; scale of permanent bridge is reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete; total investment capital is 50 billion VND, construction started in 2002 and completed in 2004.

Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province, added that in addition to traffic diversion to repair Van Phu bridge, some other bridges in the province such as Rao bridge and Gua bridge on Au Lau - Dong An road (provincial road 166), Mau A bridge on Mau A road to Tan Nguyen (provincial road 165) are also being maintained and repaired by units.

Previously, on October 3, the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province issued an official dispatch prohibiting all people and vehicles from traveling across Yen Bai bridge to inspect safety, maintain and repair the bridge.
