VAS Group "recycles" scrap iron and steel into high-quality products, minimizing negative impacts on the environment.

For 25 years, steadfastly pursuing the "Rebirth to Create" journey, the circular economy model applied by the Group has recycled discarded steel into high-quality, stable, and environmentally friendly products. Using scrap metal instead of raw materials from iron ore as input, VAS Green Steel contributes to preserving natural resources and reducing the burden of waste on Mother Earth.

The modern VAS Nghi Son plant (Thanh Hoa) is equipped with world- leading technology and maintains the largest scale and production capacity within the VAS Group ecosystem.

Recycled steel materials are processed at the Nghi Son Port Logistics Area – the only modern scrap washing facility in Vietnam that has invested in a dust filtration misting system, planted green belts, and installed dust screens around the area to minimize environmental impact. All wastewater is recycled and reused through a strictly monitored wastewater treatment system, with daily data reports submitted to the management agency under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment .

The Nghi Son Port Logistics Area ( thuộc VAS Group) is currently the only material washing area in Vietnam, covering nearly 30 hectares.

Utilizing an induction furnace system (without the use of DO oil or coal) and world-leading advanced technology from Danieli (Italy), VAS Green Steel achieves high strength, ductility, and shrinkage, while being environmentally friendly. Compared to traditional production methods, VAS Green Steel contributes to a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions. Thanks to these outstanding advantages, VAS products have expanded into the international market, joining the global trend of green growth.

VAS green steel meets the stringent standards of both domestic and international markets: Japan (JIS), the United Kingdom (BS4449), the United States (ASTM, SAE, J403), and Australia (ACRS). It has been selected for the construction of iconic and key national projects such as the North-South Expressway, the Hai Phong City Political-Administrative Center, the Children's Hospital (Hanoi), Long Thanh International Airport (Dong Nai), and Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat Airport... contributing to building a sustainable "Green, Clean" life for future generations.

To strengthen its commitment to a "Green" approach towards a sustainable steel industry, VAS Group proactively publishes data on raw materials, resource consumption, and waste to meet the criteria of the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This certification requires businesses to pass numerous rigorous tests and transparently disclose information about the environmental impact of production throughout the entire product lifecycle. With an impressive achievement of keeping CO2 emissions in production below 750 kg, VAS Group has become one of only two steel mills in Vietnam to achieve this certification.
