The interior design of Long Thanh Airport terminal is modern, distinctive, and creates a positive impression on international visitors.

The Government Office issued Notice No. 475/TB-VPCP dated October 18, 2024, summarizing the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on the interior design of the Long Thanh International Airport passenger terminal, phase 1.

In the announcement, the Deputy Prime Minister requested: The Long Thanh International Airport project is a project of special interest to the Party, State, and Government; its goal is to become a regional and international transit airport, and one of the symbols of the country as it enters a new era.

Interior design is a crucial step in ensuring that the passenger terminal meets modern criteria, possesses a distinct identity, and creates a positive impression on international visitors to Vietnam. Therefore, the investor, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), is fully responsible in accordance with the law throughout the implementation process, from proposing the policy and preparing the feasibility study to the technical design, architectural design, and interior design of the project; and regarding the content and scope of the contract.

Regarding interior design, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ACV to incorporate the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting and finalize the interior design plan in the following direction:

Clearly define the perspective, objectives, arguments, philosophy, and thinking behind the interior design plan, implementing it from the overall concept to the details based on the principle of synchronized and systematic execution, ensuring consistency and continuity in meeting the requirements for an airport that is a distinctive, modern, green, sustainable building adapting to climate change. Conduct thorough research and argumentation, with clear ideas when proposing detailed interior designs, linking them to the building's architectural design, and reflecting national identity, culture, and tradition;

Instruct the consulting unit to specifically define the consulting products related to engineering/architectural/interior design;

The study focuses on spatial arrangement, materials, and colors to suit the functional characteristics of each area (shopping, dining , etc.);

Construction materials used for the project must be evaluated for consistency with the overall design, durability, and suitability to the nature and level of the project;

Conduct research and consult with relevant agencies to utilize native plant species, ensuring their adaptation to the environment and interior landscape.

Consult with leading experts in the field during the interior design process of the project;

ACV implements all stages of design, approval, and investment seriously, systematically, and with full legal responsibility.

The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Construction to guide ACV in implementing the interior design of the passenger terminal, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
