Major General Le Ngoc Chau holds the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province.

On the afternoon of September 4th, the 25th session (special session) of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council, 17th term, 2021-2026, took place to elect the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the conference, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province, presented a proposal introducing Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, to be elected as Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Delegates attending the session elected the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province by secret ballot.

As a result, with an absolute majority of 100% (54/54) of the votes, delegates elected Mr. Le Ngoc Chau to the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution confirming the election results for the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021-2026; and assigned the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to complete the procedures and submit them to the Prime Minister for approval as prescribed.

Later that same day, the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Central Party Secretariat's decision on personnel matters.

At the conference, a representative from the Central Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Party Central Secretariat to relieve Major General Le Ngoc Chau, member of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry and Commander of the Mobile Police Command, from his position as a member of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry for the 2020-2025 term.

The Secretariat of the Central Committee has decided to transfer and appoint Major General Le Ngoc Chau to the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
