The Central Party Office has just issued a press release on the closing session of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

On the morning of October 8, the Central Committee held its closing session at the Conference Hall. Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman, chaired the Conference on behalf of the Politburo.

Politburo members presented the Politburo's report on the reception and explanation of the contents discussed by the Central Committee and gave their opinions:

- Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister presented the Report on receiving and explaining: Report on the socio-economic situation, state budget in 2023, plan for 2024, 3-year state financial and budget plan 2024 - 2026 and roadmap for implementing the new salary regime; Summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW, dated June 10, 2012 of the 11th Party Central Committee on a number of social policy issues for the period 2012 - 2020.

- Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission presented the Report on receiving and explaining: Summary of 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated August 6, 2008 of the 10th Party Central Committee on building a contingent of intellectuals in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country; Summary of 20 years of implementing Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2003 of the 9th Party Central Committee on promoting the strength of great national unity for a rich people, a strong country, a fair, democratic and civilized society; on the planning of the Party Central Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term; on the establishment of sub-committees to prepare for the 14th Party Congress.

- Comrade Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense presented the Report on receiving and explaining the Summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2013 of the 11th Party Central Committee on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation.

- Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission presented the draft Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

The Party Central Committee passed Resolution of the 8th Central Conference.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong delivered a closing speech at the Conference.
