Revocation of declaration papers of 17 health protection foods

The Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health has just issued a decision to revoke the health protection food declaration certificates for 17 products. This is a large-scale cancellation of health protection food declaration certificates, showing the determination to tighten the management of the quality of functional food products.

Among the units whose product registration certificates were revoked, the business of Dang Thien Phuc in Long Xuyen, An Giang, had its product registration certificates canceled for 4 products: Thoai Cot Hoan (425/2019/DKSP), TyVieXoan (6180/2019/DKSP), Cot Thong Ky Sanh Hoan (5685/2019/DKSP), and Vien Khop Hoan (2113/2023/DKSP).

In Ho Chi Minh City, USA VIP Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. also had its registration certificates revoked for three products: Eucavital Plus, ZN+VITC Syrup, and Vitamin 3B Plus Gold.

The Thanh Truc production and trading business (Long Xuyen, An Giang) also had its product registration certificates revoked for two products: Bach Minh Vuong (1460/2023/DKSP) and Vixoa Bach Minh (2617/2023/DKSP).

Notably, the Dang An Khang business in Long Xuyen had 5 products recalled, including Cot Thong Hoan (5356/2022/DKSP), Ty Viem Hoan (7747/2019/DKSP), An Khop Hoan (487/2023/DKSP), Thap Khop Cot Thong Hoan (8516/2018/DKSP), and Vinh Cot Hoan (5150/2022/DKSP), due to violations of food safety regulations.

On the same day, the Food Safety Department also issued a decision to revoke the registration certificates of three other products, including: Hoa Bao weight gain pills and Hoan Lieu Khang, announced by Vy Vy Vietnam Trading Co., Ltd., currently under the responsibility of Bao An Construction and Interior Trading Co., Ltd., which have been recalled; and Enterovina, announced by Nguyen Minh Trading and Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Hoan Lieu Khang health supplement is manufactured and distributed by Vy Vy Vietnam Trading Co., Ltd.

According to regulations, relevant units must coordinate with the Food Product Management Department and other functional departments of the Food Safety Administration to handle the recall process. All decisions are effective from the date of signing.

This latest recall of health supplements highlights the reality that some functional food products are being recalled due to substandard quality, posing potential risks to consumers.
