According to Meritorious Artist Dinh Trung Can, VCPMC faces many difficulties in licensing and protecting copyright in the performance field, due to the complicated situation of copyright infringement in this field, including domestic and international shows. Many units still lack self-awareness and voluntary performance of their obligations to pay royalties, and find ways to make things difficult and avoid fulfilling their obligations.

VCPMC said it has surveyed, collected documents, evidence, and filed lawsuits in many cases of copyright infringement, typically in the fields of performance rights and copying rights. Up to now, the legal departments of the two regions have handled 79 lawsuits of copyright infringement, intellectual property disputes, and contract disputes; 34 cases have been resolved, the rest are in the process of being resolved. In addition, there are many cases and hundreds of online links (copying works), the center is collecting documents and evidence to handle violations. The center also regularly coordinates with authors to review, warn, collect, and recover cases of links and channels that violate the online environment.
