At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-level Vietnamese delegation to attend the G7 Expanded Summit and work in Japan from May 19-21, 2023.

This is the third time Vietnam has participated in the G7 Expanded Summit and is one of two Southeast Asian countries invited by Japan to attend this year's G7 Expanded Summit.
Vietnam's participation affirms its role, position and contribution to the common efforts to promote cooperation, maintain growth and address common challenges of the international community.
