The National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed the contents submitted to the National Assembly at the Extraordinary Session at the end of February 2025.

Kinhtedothi - According to information from the National Assembly Office, the 42nd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place over 2.5 days (from the afternoon of February 5th to February 7th) to consider and give opinions on important issues to be submitted to the National Assembly at the extraordinary session at the end of February 2025.

At the meeting, in preparation for submission to the National Assembly at the extraordinary session at the end of February 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will give its opinion on the draft Law on Government Organization (amended) and two drafts: the Resolution of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term; and the Resolution of the National Assembly on the structure and number of members of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly also gave its opinion on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly and 3 drafts: Resolution of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of specialized agencies of the National Assembly; Resolution of the National Assembly on the number of members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly (amended); Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the specific tasks, powers and organizational structure of specialized agencies of the National Assembly.

The session also provided feedback on the draft Law on Organization of Local Government (amended); the Law on Promulgation of Legal Normative Documents (amended). Feedback was also given on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly addressing issues arising from legal provisions related to the reorganization of the administrative apparatus.

In addition, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly also gave opinions on the explanation, acceptance, and revision of the draft Law on Teachers and the Law on Chemicals (amended); gave opinions on the draft Ordinance on the Management and Protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Relic Area; and considered the National Assembly's report on citizen petitions in January 2025.

The session also considered and adopted several resolutions to implement the Law on the Organization of People's Courts of 2024; the draft Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the principles, criteria and allocation norms of public investment capital from the state budget for the period 2026-2030; and the resolution approving the proposal of the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy on the organizational structure of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
