Vietnam is currently an ideal destination for Filipinos, with the number of visitors increasing every year. In 2024, the total number of Filipino visitors to Vietnam increased by 73.6% compared to the previous year. Previously, only Philippine Airlines and Cebu Airlines operated direct flights between Vietnam and the Philippines with limited frequency, but now Cebu alone has 2 flights per day on the Manila - Hanoi , Manila - Ho Chi Minh City routes, and one flight per day on the Manila - Da Nang route. In addition, Cebu is also applying for permission to open a direct flight from Cebu to Da Nang. Not lagging behind the trend, Vietnam Airlines has also resumed flights from Manila to Hanoi and Manila to Ho Chi Minh City since June 2024 with a frequency of 3 flights per week on the Manila - Hanoi route and 4 flights per week on the Manila - Ho Chi Minh City route, and now increased to 01 flight per day on the Manila - Hanoi route, with the plan to open a direct flight of Vietnam Airlines from Manila to Da Nang.

The increase in tourism activities as well as direct flights between the two countries also promotes and opens up opportunities for trade and investment cooperation. Currently, besides tourism, Philippine businesses and entrepreneurs also want to go to Vietnam to seek opportunities for trade and investment development. And this is also one of the new points, an opportunity for the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines to mobilize and invite delegations of associations and Philippine businesses to travel to Vietnam, and at the same time seek opportunities for trade and investment cooperation with domestic businesses.
