Vietnam Social Security gives 2,290 health insurance cards to Khanh Hoa residents

On the afternoon of December 8, at the People's Committee of Dien Dien commune, Vietnam Social Security (VSS) organized a program to give health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Khanh Hoa province. Mr. Tran Dinh Lieu - Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security, representatives of the provincial Social Security, sponsoring units, leaders and people of Dien Dien commune attended.

The program of giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances is an activity to spread the social security policy of the State; widely mobilize the participation of civil servants, public employees, workers in the entire Vietnam Social Security system and the social community in giving social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances. Up to now, Vietnam Social Security has mobilized sponsors for nearly 40,000 health insurance cards to give to people in difficult circumstances across the country. In Khanh Hoa province, Vietnam Social Security allocated 2,290 health insurance cards. In addition, the provincial Social Security also mobilized from local enterprises and it is expected that by the end of December, more than 3,330 health insurance cards (including the number of health insurance cards allocated by Vietnam Social Security) will be given to people in difficult circumstances in the province.

At the program, the leaders of Vietnam Social Security presented a symbolic board of health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Khanh Hoa province; presented a symbolic board of 150 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Dien Dien commune (of which, 50 people were presented directly at the program); presented 50 million VND to support the locality and people of Dien Dien commune to overcome the consequences of floods. Representatives of units: BIDV Khanh Hoa Branch, Vietcombank Khanh Hoa Branch also sponsored more than 570 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in the province.
