50 years after the complete liberation of the South, from a gas station born in hardship and shortage, Petrolimex Khanh Hoa has become a key enterprise, taking on the role of ensuring energy security in the South Central and Central Highlands regions. From hardship to growth platform

After liberation, the task of restoring infrastructure and supplying fuel for production, transportation and daily life was given top priority. In December 1975, Nha Trang Gas Station was established with more than 50 staff and workers. Low human resources, outdated equipment, and scarce replacement materials were major challenges in the early stages. In the conditions where the means of transport and equipment were mostly degraded, not synchronized, and technical materials were in short supply, the unit still persisted in maintaining warehouse operations, organizing the continuous and timely distribution of gasoline and oil to serve the needs of the people, production and political tasks in the locality.

The company pays attention to social security work.

In 1980, Nha Trang Gas Station was upgraded to Phu Khanh Petroleum Depot; in 1988, it became Phu Khanh Petroleum Enterprise. In 1991, the unit was reorganized into Phu Khanh Petroleum Company, under the Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation. The big turning point came in 1995 when the company merged the South Central Petroleum Branch and took over Ninh Thuan Materials Company, expanding its scope of operations to the three provinces of Khanh Hoa - Phu Yen - Ninh Thuan (old), becoming a key hub of the region. Maturity continued to be consolidated when the company converted to a single-member limited liability model in 2010; by 2025, it was renamed Petrolimex Khanh Hoa One Member Co., Ltd., in accordance with the group's organizational area after the merger of the province.

Overcoming many challenges and transitional stages for half a century, Petrolimex Khanh Hoa has built a solid foundation for development, affirming its role as a key pillar enterprise of the whole region. Notable milestones include: The period 1991 - 2000 marked the transition from a subsidized mechanism to a market mechanism. In the wind of innovation, the company quickly adapted, proactively sourced goods, improved its apparatus, and became the main force regulating the gasoline and oil market in the three provinces. In just a decade, the company's output reached 2 million m³, accounting for 70% of the domestic market, with sales of nearly 4,000 billion VND, and paid 221 billion VND to the state budget. The period 2001 - 2010 recorded an acceleration in infrastructure investment, expansion of the retail network, upgrading of warehouses and means of transport, affirming its leading position in the South Central region. In the period 2011 - 2020, with the strategy of "taking retail as the center", the company's retail network expanded rapidly, from 60 to 104 stores; retail output reached 263,000m³, an increase ^{of 153,000m³} compared to the beginning of the period; profit increased from 48 billion VND to 102 billion VND; paid 1,200 billion VND to the state budget, maintaining its pioneering role in regulating the market. In the period 2021 - 2025, in the context of the pandemic and economic fluctuations, the company still maintained its supply and stabilized the market; output increased continuously from 225,000m³ in 2021 to 323,000m³ in 2025; the store system from 100 to 107 stores was optimized according to the group's management model. Thanks to that, the company's profit recovered strongly, reaching 145 billion VND in 2024; budget contribution continued to maintain a high level...

Modernization to create a green future

50 years of developing the Petrolimex brand is 50 years of Petrolimex Khanh Hoa building standards for quality, stable supply and market trust. The company strictly controls from import, storage, transportation to retail; measurement and quality management processes are standardized; sales and logistics services are upgraded in a professional, safe and modern direction.

Strategic infrastructure is a field of strong investment. To meet the development needs, Vinh Nguyen Petroleum Warehouse (Nha Trang Ward) has been invested in equipment, built 5 new tanks, increased the capacity to 30,000m³ and become one of the warehouses evaluated as highly effective by the Vietnam National Petroleum Group. This is the foundation for the company to play a role in ensuring energy security for Khanh Hoa and the South Central region. In addition, the laboratories are equipped with modern analytical equipment, fully testing chemical - physical - biological indicators, ensuring that every liter of gasoline and oil delivered to customers meets Petrolimex standards.

The company currently has 80 retail stores and hundreds of industrial customers.

Along with infrastructure, the company has strongly shifted to digital management. ERP-SAP, EGAS, electronic invoices, AI cameras and cashless payment methods are applied synchronously, creating a consistent and transparent management model, increasing operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience. Human resource training is also identified by the company as a pillar of development. From 2023 to present, the company has organized more than 5,000 training sessions with a budget of 7.2 billion VND, ensuring that the team is ready to adapt to the modern management model. Party, trade union, youth union and women's union activities are maintained effectively, creating a unified, disciplined and humane corporate culture. In particular, business development in parallel with community responsibility is a consistent value of Petrolimex Khanh Hoa. Over the past 5 years, the company has contributed more than 40 billion VND to gratitude activities, social security, support to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, build schools, Great Unity houses...

On that basis, we focus resources on key projects including: Cam Ranh petroleum port warehouse, Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway rest stop, truck service station... and other modernization items. This effort is not only to improve infrastructure capacity and service quality but also demonstrates Petrolimex Khanh Hoa's commitment to accompanying the green growth strategy of the province and the country" - Mr. Long said.
