According to Dinh Bac, the team only had a few days to train together but did not face many difficulties because most of the players had just successfully competed together in the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

Furthermore, the addition of newcomer Tran Thanh Trung has further boosted morale. “Thanh Trung has integrated very quickly, is cheerful and cooperative with the whole team. Trung is a quality player and I believe he will perform well in the upcoming matches,” Dinh Bac commented.
Vietnam U23 has a significant advantage playing at home against Bangladesh U23, Yemen U23, and Singapore U23.
Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will kick off their campaign with a match against U23 Bangladesh on September 3rd, followed by matches against U23 Singapore (September 6th) and U23 Yemen (September 9th).
Assessing the opponents, the U23 Vietnam striker affirmed that the entire team is highly focused on each match.
“We have the utmost respect for all three opponents. First, the whole team will focus on preparing for the opening match against Bangladesh U23.”

The young striker, born in 2004, emphasized that all the players felt proud and happy to be playing in this historic moment for the nation, and were determined to fight their hardest to qualify for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Championship.
