Midfielder Hai Long received nearly 500 million VND in rewards from his hometown Quang Ninh

(NLĐO) - Quang Ninh province held a meeting and presented an award to midfielder Hai Long, who scored a dramatic goal against the Thai national team in the final match.

On January 9th, Quang Ninh province held a ceremony to honor midfielder Nguyen Hai Long, a native of Quang Ninh, for his outstanding performance in the Vietnamese National Team's victory at the ASEAN Cup 2024.

The leaders of Quang Ninh province presented a Certificate of Merit and a cash prize to player Nguyen Hai Long.

At the awards ceremony, midfielder Nguyen Hai Long was awarded a certificate of merit and a reward of 350 million VND by Quang Ninh province for his outstanding achievement in winning the Gold Medal at the ASEAN Cup 2024.

Previously, Tien Yen district (Quang Ninh province) also held a meeting and awarded over 30 million VND to this Tien Yen player. He also received a reward of 100 million VND from Quang Ninh Football Club.

Thus, following the Vietnamese national team's victory at the ASEAN Cup 2024, midfielder Hai Long has received nearly 500 million VND in rewards from his hometown of Quang Ninh.

Midfielder Nguyen Hai Long (born in 2000, from Tien Yen district, Quang Ninh province) once played excellently and scored many beautiful goals for Than Quang Ninh during his time in the V-League. Currently, Hai Long is playing for Hanoi FC. Thanks to his training and development in a professional environment, Hai Long was called up to the National Team and shone at the ASEAN Cup 2024.

Hai Long scored two crucial goals in this tournament. These were the opening goal, breaking the deadlock in the second half of the opening match against Laos, and a goal from midfield, sealing a 3-2 victory at the end of the second leg of the final against Thailand at the Rajamangala Stadium, confirming Vietnam's convincing win over Thailand.
