The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a bulletin on thunderstorms and localized heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind in the Northern and Central regions; and a 10-day weather forecast for Hanoi , from November 6th to November 15th.

The news report states that the cold air mass that was previously reported is still moving south as of today (November 5th).

Forecasts indicate that, due to the influence of a cold front combined with a convergence zone of winds at an altitude of 1,500m, on November 6th, both day and night, the Northern region will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain in mountainous and midland areas, with rainfall amounts of 20-40mm, and in some places over 70mm.

On the afternoon and night of November 6th, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in North Central Vietnam, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall of 15-30mm, and in some places over 50mm.

Warning: From early morning on November 7th to November 8th, the Central and South Central regions will experience showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas, with precipitation amounts of 20-50mm, and over 80mm in some places.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes. Localized heavy rainfall may cause flooding in low-lying areas.

Weather forecast for Hanoi on the night of November 5th and the day of November 6th: Cloudy skies, no rain at night; occasional showers and thunderstorms during the day, light winds; from tomorrow, November 6th, the northeast wind will gradually strengthen to level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature: 23-25°C. Highest temperature: 26-28°C.

On November 7th, Hanoi will be cloudy with showers, and temperatures will range from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius.

From November 8th to 10th, temperatures in the capital city are expected to rise again, with cloudy days but no rain. The lowest temperatures will range from 23-24 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperatures will fluctuate between 30-32 degrees Celsius.

From November 11th, temperatures in Hanoi gradually decreased until November 15th, with many days of thunderstorms. The highest temperatures dropped from 30-31°C to 25-26°C, and the lowest temperatures also decreased accordingly, falling below 20°C on November 14th and 15th.
