The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province issued Official Document No. 832/UBND-VP6 dated September 12, 2024, regarding the organization of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024 in accordance with the current situation.
Accordingly, in the current context where many provinces and cities in the Northern region are focusing intensely on overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3 and the subsequent floods, including localities in Ninh Binh province which are also focusing on responding to floods and waterlogging; based on the request of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in Official Letter No. 4251/BLDTBXH-CTE dated September 12, 2024, regarding the organization of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee requests the departments, agencies, mass organizations, and People's Committees of districts and cities to implement the following contents:
Pay attention to and organize Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children in 2024 in a suitable manner, ensuring safety, economy, substance, and avoiding ostentation and formality, especially in areas affected by rain, floods, and natural disasters after storms; absolutely do not organize events with large gatherings of children and people, or events that are unsafe in locations at risk of natural disasters or floods.
Mid-Autumn Festival programs, activities, events, and celebrations should be streamlined, reducing the number of artistic performances. The main focus should be on reading the letter from the General Secretary and President to children on the occasion of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival; prioritizing Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for children in special circumstances, children from poor and near-poor households, children from ethnic minority areas, remote areas, orphans, and children affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.
On the occasion of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival activities, we aim to strengthen the education of solidarity, mutual support, and compassion among children; to inform and update on the impact of storms and floods in localities; and to mobilize sharing, donations, and support from children, families, and the community so that children affected by storms and floods can return to school and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
