Organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024 ensures safety and savings suitable for the current situation

Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 832/UBND-VP6 dated September 12, 2024 on organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024 in accordance with the current situation.

Accordingly, in the current context, many provinces and cities in the Northern region are focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 and floods after the storm, in which localities in Ninh Binh province are also focusing on responding to floods and inundation; based on the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Official Dispatch No. 4251/BLDTBXH-CTE dated September 12, 2024 on organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, sectors, unions and People's Committees of districts and cities to implement the following contents:

Pay attention to and take care of organizing Mid-Autumn Festival activities in 2024 for children in a suitable manner on the basis of ensuring safety, economy, substance, not showing off, formality, especially in places affected by rain, floods, natural disasters after storms; absolutely do not organize events that gather a large number of children and people, unsafe at the event venue that is at risk of being affected by natural disasters and floods.

Mid-Autumn Festival programs, activities, events and festivals need to be shortened and reduce the number of performances. Key content: reading the letter from the General Secretary andPresident to children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024; giving priority to giving Mid-Autumn gifts to children in special circumstances, children from poor households, near-poor households, children in ethnic minority areas, remote areas, orphans and children affected by natural disasters, storms and floods.

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, strengtheneducation on the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and "helping each other" for children; inform and update the situation of the impact of storms and floods in localities, mobilize sharing, donations, and support from children, families, and communities so that children affected by storms and floods can soon return to school and stabilize their lives.
