On the morning of September 25th, the first National Assembly Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, opened at the National Assembly building in Hanoi . General Secretary To Lam, former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Standing Member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu, along with many other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, attended the solemn session of the congress.

In his opening remarks at the congress, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that since its establishment, the Party Committee of the National Assembly has inherited and built upon the achievements and experiences of the previous Party Committee of the National Assembly, along with the close guidance, leadership, and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, and directly and regularly under the General Secretary To Lam.
Since its establishment, the Party Committee of the National Assembly has led and directed the completion of a vast volume of tasks, institutionalizing the Party's strategic and historically significant policies and decisions, creating an important legal basis to serve the requirements of economic, cultural, and social development, building the political system, combating corruption, waste, and negative phenomena, and strengthening national defense, security, and foreign relations.

On September 11th, the Politburo met with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee to discuss preparations for the first National Assembly Party Congress and concluded that the preparation process and the content of the documents were conducted seriously, meticulously, scientifically, and in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the Central Committee.
The Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized that the country's current situation presents urgent issues that need to be addressed, and the people are awaiting and expecting decisions from the Party and the State, requiring the National Assembly to continue to innovate its thinking and methods.
The Chairman of the National Assembly stated that yesterday, September 24th, the congress proceeded with the agenda, including in-depth discussions on the implementation of political tasks; leadership and guidance work, lessons learned from the previous term; and the direction, objectives, tasks, solutions, and breakthroughs for the Party Committee's development in the 2025-2030 term.
Leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the congress. The congress's theme was: The National Assembly will strongly innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of its operations, and confidently move into a new era.

The delegates affirmed the crucial significance of this congress: together with the entire Party, it will shape strategic and epoch-making activities, lead the country's development, make the legal system a competitive advantage, a breakthrough within a breakthrough, and usher the country into a new era, an era of national progress.
The Party Committee of the National Assembly was established by the Politburo in January 2025 with 11 party organizations in the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, committees, and the State Audit Office, comprising 2,800 party members. The Congress was attended by 297 official delegates.
