On the morning of September 25th, General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and many current and former leaders of the Party and State attended the First Congress of the Party Committee of the National Assembly , for the term 2025-2030.
Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough
The First Congress of the Party Committee of the National Assembly, for the term 2025-2030, was attended by 297 official delegates, who are exemplary party members representing 2,804 party members currently active in 11 party committees under the Party Committee of the National Assembly.
This includes 38 ex-officio delegates and 259 appointed delegates.
Guided by the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough," the Congress will consider and decide on many issues.
Specifically, this summarizes the activities of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and determines the direction, objectives, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term of the National Assembly Party Committee (based on the summary of the implementation of resolutions of the Party Congress of the National Assembly Office, the former Party Committee of the State Audit Office, now the Party Committee of the National Assembly Office; the summary report of the former National Assembly Party Group and the current National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term).
Conduct discussions and contribute opinions on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Together with the entire Party, we will shape strategic and contemporary activities, leading the development of the country.
In his opening remarks at the Congress, Party Secretary and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man stated that since its establishment, the National Assembly Party Committee has upheld the spirit of unity, overcome all difficulties, and innovated in its leadership and guidance, effectively fulfilling its functions of constitutional drafting, legislation, supreme supervision, and making decisions on important national issues.
In particular, the Party Committee of the National Assembly has led and directed the completion of a very large volume of tasks to institutionalize the strategic and historically significant policies and decisions of the Party.
This provides an important legal basis for serving the requirements of economic, cultural, and social development, building the political system, combating corruption, waste, and negative practices, and strengthening national defense, security, and foreign relations.

He said that on September 11, the Politburo worked with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee on preparations for the first National Assembly Party Congress and reached a conclusion.
Specifically, the Politburo emphasized that the preparation process for the Congress and the content of the documents must be serious, thorough, scientific, and in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the Central Committee.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the country is facing urgent problems that need to be solved, and the people are waiting and expecting the Party and State's decisions, requiring the National Assembly to continue to innovate its thinking and working methods.
Mr. Tran Thanh Man also informed yesterday, September 24th, that the Congress had proceeded with the agenda items.
The meeting included in-depth discussions on the implementation of political tasks; leadership and guidance work; lessons learned from the previous term; and the direction, objectives, tasks, solutions, and breakthroughs for the Party Committee's development in the 2025-2030 term.
