On the morning of September 25, General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and many leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, was attended by 297 official delegates, who are exemplary party members representing 2,804 party members currently active in 11 party committees under the National Assembly Party Committee.
Of these, there are 38 ex-officio delegates and 259 appointed delegates.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough", the Congress will consider and decide on many contents.
Specifically, summarize the activities of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term of the National Assembly Party Committee (on the basis of summarizing the implementation of the resolutions of the Congress of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Office, the former State Audit Party Committee, now the National Assembly Office Party Committee; summary reports of the former National Assembly Party Delegation and the current National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term).
Conduct discussions and contribute opinions to draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Party Secretary and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that since its establishment, the National Assembly Party Committee has upheld the spirit of solidarity, overcome all difficulties, innovated in leadership and direction, and well performed the functions of constitution-making, legislation, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.
In particular, the Party Committee of the National Assembly has led and directed the completion of a very large volume of tasks to institutionalize the Party's strategic and historically significant policies and decisions.
This creates an important legal basis to serve the requirements of economic, cultural and social development, building the political system, preventing corruption, waste and negativity, and strengthening national defense, security and foreign affairs.

He said that on September 11, the Politburo worked with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee on preparations for the first National Assembly Party Congress and reached a conclusion.
Specifically, the Politburo emphasized that the preparation process for the Congress and the content of the documents must be serious, elaborate, scientific, and in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the country is facing urgent problems that need to be solved, and the people are waiting and expecting the Party and State's decisions, requiring the National Assembly to continue to innovate its thinking and working methods.
Mr. Tran Thanh Man also informed that yesterday, September 24, the Congress carried out the contents according to the program.
During the meeting, there were in-depth discussions on the implementation of political tasks; leadership and direction work, lessons learned from the previous term; directions, goals, tasks, solutions and development breakthroughs of the Party Committee in the 2025-2030 term.
"Affirming the important significance of this Congress is to work with the whole Party to shape strategic and contemporary activities, leading the country's development.
"Making the legal system a competitive advantage is the breakthrough of breakthroughs, bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
