The State Council of Professors has just announced the list of qualified professor (GS) and associate professor (PGS) candidates in 2025.
The list of units with the number of qualified Professor and Associate Professor candidates in 2025 shows the superiority of large higher education institutions.
According to the total data (excluding the police and military sectors), Hanoi University of Science and Technology ranked first with 30 qualified candidates. Of these, 3 candidates met the standards of Professor and 27 candidates met the standards of Associate Professor. This number shows that the quality of the teaching and research staff at the school continues to be affirmed at a high level.
The Southern region also recorded impressive results. Can Tho University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy shared the second place with 22 qualified candidates.

List of 11 units with many candidates recognized as meeting the standards of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025, units with the same number are randomly arranged (Chart: Huyen Nguyen).
The Medical and Pharmaceutical School cluster shows high quality research and expertise, with the presence of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in the top 3 and Hanoi Medical University in the top 7 (18 candidates).
In the top 11, schools in the fields of engineering and economics continue to dominate. Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (20 candidates) and University of Transport (19 candidates) are both in the top 5.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education is also in the leading group with 18 candidates.
National Economics University with 17 candidates and Military Technical Academy with 16 candidates strengthen their position as centers for training high-quality human resources.
Other units in the top 10 include: Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
