The Bui Thi Xuan High School fanpage has issued a warning to parents and 12th-grade students.

Bui Thi Xuan High School in Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, has just issued an urgent warning to parents and 12th-grade students for the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, there are currently scammers impersonating staff members of Bui Thi Xuan High School or universities. They call parents and 12th-grade students, informing them that the students have been accepted and requesting money transfers, information, and citizen identification cards to complete the application process.

"The school urges parents and students to absolutely not follow these instructions; do not transfer money, do not provide personal information; if you have any doubts, contact your homeroom teacher immediately for verification," the warning stated.

Similarly, Ten Lơ Man High School in Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, also sent out an urgent notice, urging parents and 12th-grade students to be vigilant against a new scam.

"University admission information will be officially announced on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training and of each university. There will be no notification by phone or requests for advance payment from students," Ten Lơ Man High School noted.

Reportedly, after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, a student in class 12A3 of Bui Thi Xuan High School received a phone call from someone claiming to be a school administrative staff member. This person requested the student to provide additional personal information to complete their university admission application via a provided link.

In addition, another student from Bui Thi Xuan High School received a phone call impersonating a university, informing them of their acceptance and requesting them to transfer money.

However, the students became suspicious and contacted their homeroom teacher to verify the information.

According to the administration of Bui Thi Xuan High School, all high schools have now completed the data entry process for 12th-grade students taking the 2025 high school graduation exam. Therefore, the school will not require students to provide additional information to complete their records.

When registering for university admissions, students should remain calm, carefully research the information, and if they have any questions, contact their homeroom teacher or the school for support, guidance, and answers.

"Regarding university admissions, students and their families need to monitor the timeline set by the Ministry of Education and Training. Specifically, admission notifications will be officially announced by the university, not via phone calls to individual candidates. Absolutely no university will call students or parents requesting a tuition deposit before the student has enrolled. Therefore, at this time, parents and students need to remain calm, cautious, and monitor information from official sources or contact their homeroom teacher or the school," - Bui Thi Xuan High School warned.

All kinds of scams targeting parents and students.

Recently, scammers have been continuously launching various schemes to defraud parents and students. These range from calling parents to falsely claim their child is in the hospital emergency room and urgently needs money to save them, to impersonating school staff and requesting parents to complete enrollment forms for primary school or high school graduation exams via provided links…
