The admission score for specialized 10th-grade classes is the sum of the scores from four exams: Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language, and the specialized subject. The score for the specialized subject is multiplied by a factor of two.
The admission score for the integrated 10th grade class is the sum of the scores from four exams: Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language, and the integrated subject. The score for the integrated subject is multiplied by a factor of two.
The admission score for non-specialized 10th grade classes at Le Hong Phong and Tran Dai Nghia specialized high schools is the total score of the three exams: Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language.
Candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam in 2023 will calculate their scores and compare them with the cutoff scores recently announced by the Department of Education.
On July 10th, the Department will announce the admission cutoff scores and the list of successful candidates for regular 10th grade classes in public schools.
For candidates requesting a review of their exam results, the Department will announce the review results on June 30th. Candidates who are admitted after the review results are available will submit their enrollment documents to specialized or integrated schools/classes on July 5th.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training further stated that candidates who do not meet the admission standards for 10th grade in specialized schools and integrated 10th grade classes will continue to be considered for three more choices for regular 10th grade classes.
The cut-off scores and list of successful candidates for 10th grade are usually announced by the Department of Education on July 10th.
For candidates who have been admitted to 10th grade in specialized schools and integrated classes but have not submitted their enrollment applications, the Department will also consider their three remaining choices for regular 10th grade classes.
