
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee
The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (UBND HCMC) has just issued a plan to organize a tour program to visit the national-level architectural and artistic heritage site of the Headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the Plan aims to enhance the promotion of the city's history and development, contributing to building and developing the Ho Chi Minh City brand, and creating an image of a friendly and open Ho Chi Minh City government.
The plan also aims to research the development of unique and distinctive tourism products associated with culture and history, contributing to attracting domestic and international tourists to the city, stimulating tourism demand, and promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City as an "Attractive - Safe - Vibrant" destination.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requires the program to build upon the achievements of the 2023 program and enhance new experiences for tourists; ensuring its attractiveness and showcasing the cultural, historical, and architectural values of the National Architectural and Artistic Monument, the Headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, while also being integrated with other tour programs in Ho Chi Minh City. Furthermore, the program must ensure security, safety, and the preservation of the monument's integrity.
The 2024 tour program to the National Architectural and Artistic Monument of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters is planned to be organized into 12 tours, each consisting of the last Saturday and Sunday of each month. Specifically: Tour 1: February 24 and 25, 2024; Tour 2: March 30 and 31, 2024; Tour 3: April 27 and 28, 2024; Tour 4: May 25 and 26, 2024; Tour 5: June 29 and 30, 2024; Tour 6: July 27 and 28, 2024; Tour 7: August 24 and 25, 2024; Phase 8: August 31st and September 1st, 2024 (during the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); Phase 9: September 28th and 29th, 2024; Phase 10: October 26th and 27th, 2024; Phase 11: November 23rd and 24th, 2024; Phase 12: December 28th and 29th, 2024.
Visitors will have the opportunity to tour a section of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters, a national architectural and artistic heritage site. Specifically, on the ground floor, visitors will explore the main lobby, International Reception Room No. 1, and the main staircase. On the first floor, visitors will tour the main lobby, International Reception Rooms No. 2 and No. 3, the balcony, and Meeting Room No. 5.
Visitors include: Officials, civil servants, employees, union members, and association members from agencies and units within and outside the city; local residents and tourists (domestic and international).
The tour program to visit the Headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is organized free of charge for people, domestic and international tourists.
The program plan also clearly states that paid services in the tour program (such as selling souvenirs, taking souvenir photos using technology, selling drinks, etc.) are additional services chosen by visitors, carried out according to the instructions of competent authorities and must be publicly announced in the media before implementation.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests that all units seriously implement this directive. Any issues that arise should be promptly reported to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and decision through the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
