Awarding certificates for high-quality Vietnamese products to businesses.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Van Mai, congratulated the 529 businesses that received the title of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods in 2024. He also highly appreciated the business community in general and the businesses with high-quality Vietnamese goods in particular for their significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City in recent years. For nearly 30 years, the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods program has developed in the right direction, always with updates, innovations, and advancements.

The program not only brings direct benefits to businesses, but also contributes to brand building (businesses that have been recognized as producing high-quality Vietnamese products, or are in the process of building one), enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese products and goods. This brand and competitiveness is not simply the responsibility of the business; it is the brand and competitiveness of the city and the nation.

Emphasizing that at the end of 2023, the city issued a strategic framework for green growth until 2030, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City hoped that businesses would continue to cooperate so that the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Program could further develop, joining hands with the city for the green-clean-digital goals that the city is building.

This year's survey on high-quality Vietnamese products was conducted through direct interviews with two groups: consumers and retailers in four centrally-governed cities ( Hanoi , Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho).

In addition, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Businesses also conducted a nationwide online survey with the participation of consumers in all 63 provinces/cities. The results recorded over 70,000 votes for businesses through both voting methods.

Among the 529 businesses that received the High-Quality Vietnamese Product certification, 32 businesses have held the title for 28 consecutive years, and 16 businesses were selected for the first time.

Information from the 2024 consumer survey on high-quality Vietnamese products shows that the group of newly emerging businesses that achieved a high percentage of votes for the first time are those that have made groundbreaking efforts in distribution activities with a fairly good increase in coverage within distribution systems.

Most of the businesses achieving this status for the first time are food product suppliers, exemplary businesses in production practices, and have obtained OCOP certifications (4 stars, 5 stars).
