On the evening of December 5, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists' Association and the Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet to organize the 3rd National Press Awards Ceremony on Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2025 and a writing contest to learn about the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Farmers' Union's establishment and growth (1930-2025).

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Vice President of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh attended and presented the awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association Luong Quoc Doan assessed that most of the entries closely followed the breath of life and the transformation of the country to enter a new era.

In particular, the works have shown a strong picture of "digital transformation" through writing style and presentation in line with the theme of this year's season, which is "scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas" according to the content of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo .

The works have performed well in the role of "policy communication," specifically policies on green agricultural transformation and circular economy towards rapid and sustainable development. The works have diverse and rich content, painting a panoramic picture of the strong development of agriculture in the recent period, contributing to the country's socio-economic growth target at a high level and reaching the double-digit mark in the coming years.

Not only reflecting the positive aspects, the journalistic works in this contest also demonstrate the spirit of fighting against the negative aspects in agriculture and rural areas such as deforestation, the problem of trafficking and hunting of wild and rare animals, counterfeit and fake goods in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, etc. Thereby, the works contribute to the fight and timely prevention of violations that negatively affect society, contribute to protecting sustainable agricultural production, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of farmers.

Chairman Luong Quoc Doan also assessed that the press works participating in this year's awards have performed well in their role of social supervision and criticism with many articles, radio and television programs that deeply reflect and analyze the difficulties in mechanisms and policies for agriculture, farmers and rural areas such as issues of applying science and technology, capital, credit and agricultural insurance.

“Reporters, journalists, and press agencies have always accompanied and stood side by side with farmers and the Vietnamese peasant class throughout the past period, especially in 2025 with many difficulties and challenges. At every moment and event, we always receive the attention, companionship, and timely presence of the press," Chairman Luong Quoc Doan affirmed.

This is the third consecutive time that the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam has been held, with 4 categories: print newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio and television.

After 3 seasons of organization, the award has become increasingly high quality and attracted a large number of reporters and journalists.

The award-winning works demonstrate the perseverance, dedication, enthusiasm and creativity of the team of reporters and journalists to bring to the public vivid works, images, films, sounds, etc. about the picture of agriculture, farmers and rural areas in Vietnam./.
