Mr. LE QUOC MINH - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper:
Deserved honor
As a tradition, the annual Mai Vàng Award of the Người Lao Động Newspaper is always a meaningful gift for readers, audiences, and artists nationwide during the Lunar New Year. With a history spanning 29 years, the award has become a prestigious and official platform to honor artists with outstanding works, remarkable achievements, and contributions to the development of national culture and art. In recent years, the Mai Vàng Award has continuously improved in quality.
Besides the well-deserved and satisfying results for both the audience and artists, the Mai Vàng Awards ceremony is also a meaningful and refreshing spring gift for the public nationwide. This significance is woven into emotionally rich performances, meticulously staged and impressive. A highlight is the Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) performance "Kindness Around Us," honoring two individuals from the "Kindness Around Us" writing contest organized by the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper. This contest was also very meaningful, spreading stories of compassion hidden in every corner of life and contributing positively to building a civilized and compassionate society.
Returning to the Mai Vàng Awards, I hope that in future seasons, the awards will continue to promote their humanistic values and unique characteristics to contribute to building a healthy and rich cultural environment, serving the spiritual life of the people of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country; creating motivation for artists to constantly improve themselves, in return for the love and trust of the public.

Mr. TRAN TRONG DUNG, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association:
A launching pad for many artists
Over the past 29 years, the Mai Vàng Awards, organized by the Người Lao Động newspaper, has continuously improved and innovated its format to ensure that each category and each voting round is more accessible to readers.
The Mai Vang Awards have created a platform for artists and writers, while also providing guidance for community-oriented activities, caring for their well-being, and assisting artists and intellectuals facing difficulties. Through the Mai Vang Awards, many beloved artists have been able to shape their artistic paths.
The value of the Mai Vàng Awards lies not only in the ceremony honoring artists based on votes from the judging panel and the audience, but also in the very meaningful program: "Mai Vàng Tribute".
On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Journalists Association, I extend my congratulations on the 29th Mai Vang Awards Ceremony - 2023; and congratulations to the artists and those involved in the arts who were honored at the awards ceremony.
Mr. DUONG ANH DUC - Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City:
Further improvement and innovation.
With each passing year, the Mai Vàng Awards have further solidified their prestige and value. The awards serve as a motivation for artists to continue creating art and contributing to the audience, helping to spread humanitarian values.
This year, the Mai Vàng Awards featured many new elements, such as the application of modern technology in the voting process and the addition of new honor categories to suit audience preferences. The awards ceremony was grand and professional, creating a vibrant cultural and artistic atmosphere for Ho Chi Minh City.
Next year, the 30th Mai Vang Awards will mark a beautiful milestone in the journey of honoring artists who have worked diligently and seriously in their artistic endeavors. To ensure the Mai Vang Awards continue to achieve new successes, the Organizing Committee needs to further improve and innovate to bring about a unique appeal while maintaining a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements.
I hope that in the coming years, the Mai Vàng Award will continue to be a driving force for artists to develop their talents and create valuable works of art to serve the audience.
Mr. LAM DINH THANG - Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City:
Reputation, quality
The 29th Mai Vàng Awards Ceremony - 2023 was a grand event, bringing together many artists and performers. The ceremony featured many performances with messages spreading love in the community, such as the Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) performance "Kindness Around Us" - honoring two elderly individuals who established a free vegetarian meal kitchen to provide meals to the poor in Ho Chi Minh City.
It must be affirmed that the Mai Vàng Awards is a successful post-publication program of the Người Lao Động newspaper. It's a prestigious and high-quality award, not only for artists and writers but also for the wider community; it has endured over time, even during difficult periods like the COVID-19 pandemic.
One very meaningful, humane, and practical activity of the Mai Vang Awards is the "Mai Vang Gratitude" program. This program has further enhanced the humanitarian aspect of the Mai Vang Awards, clearly demonstrating the responsibility of journalists towards the community and society. I believe the Mai Vang Awards will continue to be successful and achieve new milestones.
Ms. NGUYEN THI THU HA , former Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee:
Continuously creating new value
Over 29 editions, the Mai Vàng Awards have not only affirmed their appeal and prestige but have also continuously created new values. These values lie not only in honoring talent but also in recognizing noble contributions to the community.
From an award that celebrated selfless dedication to art, the "Golden Apricot Blossom of Compassion" and its successor, the "Golden Apricot Blossom of Gratitude," have contributed to caring for, supporting, encouraging, and inspiring intellectuals, researchers, educators, and artists with many achievements. Many individuals facing difficulties have received timely and valuable support. This has created a positive impact on society, allowing humanitarian values to soar high and far, touching the hearts of many; affirming that culture and art are always intertwined with life.
Hopefully, at 30 years old, the Mai Vang Awards will still retain their youthful energy; and the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to promote dynamism and creativity in organizing the awards. I also hope that each year, the Mai Vang Awards will continue to have new features in their organization, selection, and honoring process.
